The term “lead” is that it covers a broad variety of qualification standards and positions in the purchase cycle.The most basic,  lead is an inbound web form completion. Web forms are commonly completed to ask a question or download a gated asset. 
The lead is then converted into a “prospect”. These criteria may be buying authority, financial capacity and willingness to buy.
