This Privacy Policy explains how GeoSathi ("we", "our", "us") collects, uses, and protects information when you use our iOS mobile application.

GeoSathi processes report creation on the device itself. We do not collect or upload your photos, precise location data, or report content to our server as part of the normal report workflow.

1. Information We Collect

GeoSathi does not collect your photos, location data, report details, or report metadata on our server as part of the normal app workflow. Depending on how you use the app and what permissions you allow, the following data may be processed locally on your device:

Photos and Report Content: Photos you capture or upload, report details, visit context, and related report metadata are processed locally on your device to create reports.
Location Information: Latitude, longitude, and address details are processed locally on your device to build location-backed reports and support revisit workflows.
Date and Time Data: Timestamps and timing information attached to report entries and report verification flows.
Device Information: Device model, operating system version, app version, and technical identifiers needed for app reliability and diagnostics.
Usage and Diagnostics Data: Crash logs, performance information, and app interaction data used to improve stability and usability.

Photos, location details, timestamps, and report metadata used for report creation are processed locally on your device. We do not collect this report content on our server unless you explicitly use a feature that requires external transmission or contact support and choose to share information with us.

2. How We Use Information

We use information processed through GeoSathi to provide and improve the app, including to:

Create GPS reports from field visits.
Add time, location, and address context to photos included in reports.
Support report verification, revisit workflows, compare workflows, and map-based report review.
Improve app performance, fix bugs, and maintain service reliability.
Respond to support requests and app-related inquiries.

Core report generation, including photo stamping and location-based report building, happens locally on the device.

3. Location and Camera Permissions

GeoSathi may request access to your device camera, photo library, and location services so you can create report-based field records with accurate context. If you deny these permissions, some core app features may not work correctly, including GPS report creation, stamped report photos, revisit tools, and map views.

4. Third-Party Services

We integrate the following third-party services to support app functionality, ads, analytics, and diagnostics:

Google Firebase: Used for analytics, crash reporting, and performance monitoring. View Firebase Privacy

AppLovin: Used for displaying personalized and non-personalized ads. View AppLovin Privacy
Other Ad Partners: We may also serve ads via platforms like Unity Ads, IronSource, and others, which may use anonymized data for better ad relevance.
Apple Services: The app may rely on iOS system services and App Store distribution infrastructure.

If third-party providers are used, their handling of data is governed by their own privacy terms in addition to this policy.

5. Advertising & Opt-Out Options

GeoSathi may display ads that can be personalized based on your device activity, subject to your settings and permissions. You can opt out of personalized advertising:

On iOS: Go to Settings → Privacy → Apple Advertising → Turn off Personalized Ads.
Or disable tracking when prompted at app launch through the App Tracking Transparency popup.

6. Data Retention

Because core report data is processed locally on your device, we do not retain your photos, precise location data, or report content on our server as part of the normal app workflow. Any limited technical or support-related data that we do receive is retained only for as long as reasonably necessary to provide support, maintain app reliability, meet legal obligations, resolve disputes, and enforce our terms.

7. Data Sharing

We do not sell your personal information. We may share limited data only in the following situations:

With service providers who help operate, maintain, or secure the app.
When required by law, regulation, legal process, or government request.
To protect the rights, safety, security, and integrity of GeoSathi, our users, or others.

We do not share your locally processed photos, location records, or report content from our server because that core report data is not collected by us in the normal app flow.

8. Security

We take reasonable technical and organizational measures to protect data processed through GeoSathi. However, no method of transmission or storage is completely secure, and we cannot guarantee absolute security.

9. Children’s Privacy

GeoSathi is not intended for children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13.

10. Your Rights

Depending on your location, you may have rights regarding access, correction, deletion, restriction, or objection related to your personal data. You may also manage app permissions directly through your iPhone settings.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. When we do, we will update the effective date on this page. Continued use of the app after changes means the updated policy applies.
